Feature Request: Auto trace transparent PNG template image

Would be very helpful if perimeter of transparent PNG could be traced with smoothing! This will allow us to skip the initial trace step.

We are going to add an option to create a layer from a user-supplied mask image in the next version.

any updates on this? I use monster mash for humanoids and tracing them gets really annoying xD most of my imgs are pngs so it would be nice to have a way to auto trace or something : )
