Simplified Monster Mash

I am a K-8 Computer Teacher and I love using Monster Mash with my students. Currently I'm using it with grades 2-8 along with three.js to let them make their own 3D game characters and with K-1 to let them turn their drawings 3D! I tend to have the kids make a transparent PNG and then import it as b...

Re: How to get texture image to fully cover obj

Yes, so I would take the image into GIMP or some other image editor and make a version with the background all green. Use the transparent background for the mask, but the green for the template.

Re: How to get texture image to fully cover obj

For certain more complex shapes scaling still might leave white (or transparent if png) lines around edges. I always love using the create layer from mask with a transparent png, but then save a separate jpg of the same image with the background filled in to roughly match the model and use that as t...

Re: my mp4 animation from mm (yes you can)

Cool! Yes, Monster Mash with Blender is a lot of fun! Just make sure you don't make a script to duplicate 500 copies of one of your creations. MM animations are shape keys with a separate key for every frame, so they will eat up a lot of memory. This lagged my computer so bad and was taking at least...

Re: Contributing To Monster Mash

Hi dvoromar, Thanks so much for your reply and advice and sorry I missed it for a couple of months! I'm in the middle of another big coding project right now, but definitely hope to circle back to Monster Mash soon (I would love to be able to use a version with my proposed edits with my students thi...

Contributing To Monster Mash

First off, thanks for this wonderful program! I am a K-8 Computer teacher and have used it with my younger students to bring their paint drawings alive. They love it and the project gets them used to importing and exporting files. I have been beefing up my programming skills recently by taking Havar...

Re: Create layers from mask image

This is a huge improvement and opens up so many possibilities; thanks! I can't wait till connected mask layers are implemented! Yesterday I tried to download and compile the desktop app. I saw that it looks like the Git Hub hasn't been updated in two years. When I ran the desktop app, it was literal...
